Lambeth College is hosting education course and careers advice at an event at its Brixton Centre on 10 May from 5 to 8pm
Expert advice and guidance on education courses and careers will be on offer at Lambeth College’s temporary Brixton Centre during an open event on Tuesday 10 May. It will be an excellent opportunity for anybody to discuss opportunities for their future with career and course specialists. The event runs from 5.00pm to 8.00pm How to get to the Brixton Centre.
The event is a landmark one for both the college and the Brixton Centre itself as it coincides with large scale development work for the college taking place in Brixton and Vauxhall. Once finished, the college’s Brixton and Vauxhall centres will be world-class specialist skills institutions providing thousands of career and learning opportunities for young people.
The college recently announced that one of the country’s biggest construction companies, Carillion PLC, will be its partner in redeveloping the Vauxhall site.
The development will enable the creation of the new Construction Skills Academy which will address major industry shortages in domestic and commercial construction.
It will allow learners to develop higher-level skills in the widest possible range of constructions areas, providing progression to employment and apprenticeships.
