TK Maxx are due to open their new store on Brixton Rd in mid-May.
The budget clothing chain has taken over the site at 440 Brixton Rd, part of the old Bon Marche building and previously occupied by the Rest is Noise bar.
TK Maxx claim that they will create ‘up to 80 new jobs in the area’ to staff the shop which has over 20,000 square foot of retail space.
The concept of the chain is to sell designer brands for up to 60% cheaper than the recommended retail price. It launched in 1994 and now has over 230 stores across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
