Next Saturday (30 September) will see a day of free family activities at Brockwell Lido, including taster sessions, music and competitions.

Fusion Lifestyle, the charity that runs the lido, is inviting local residents a to “Get Sportaneous” and try something new.

They can test their sporty skills “with a host of imaginative and fun challenges with great prizes”.

The day “is designed for everyone of all abilities to just dive in, have a go and best of all π have fun,” says Fusion.

The lido will be open for free swims from 10am to noon. There will be a free spin class from 12 to 1pm and free gym access from 2 to 4pm.

The day will also raise money for the lido’s chosen charity, Brixton and Norwood Food Bank.

“Our Big Event open days mark an important moment in the Fusion calendar, when our teams can meet and greet the local community, offer their support and expertise, and showcasing the wide range of activities on offer,” said Fusion CEO Anthony Cawley.

“We hope the Big Event might inspire people to take up a new sport or activity and, most of all, to enjoy the day with their friends and family.”

Swim sessions and classes require pre-booking, but you can simply turn up for the free gym sessions. Bookings can also be made by downloading the Fusion Lifestyle app.
