The third Brixton Blog & Bugle summer art show is planned to be a physical event, taking place in the Brixton Tate Library on Windrush Square for two weeks from Monday 21 June.

Last year’s show went online because of the pandemic.

The closing date for entries is Monday 31 May.

Artists can submit up to two works.

We hope to be able to organise a people’s vote to select the winner and a Covid-safe award ceremony.

This will be the first show in the library since the start of the pandemic, so we plan to make every effort to make it as big a celebration of local talent as possible.

Last year’s virtual show was successful in its own terms, but could not compare to the real thing.

Some COVID restrictions are expected to remain in place, but the library is confident that a COVID-safe show can be organised.

To enter all you have to do is send up to three digital photos of each work being entered to arts@brixtonblog.com. Please make them as large and as high a resolution as you can.

Please use “Summer Art Show” as the subject of your email, and include your name, address, social media details, contact number, the title and a brief description of the work, including its dimensions.
