Tonight (20 December) sees what organisers hope will be the first of a regular community open mic event at Brixton Rec.
There has already been one open mic evening in the newly refurbished café on level 1 of the Rec.
Talented people from the Brixton community and beyond performed poetry, comedy and music in front of a good-sized audience.
The event runs from 7 to 10pm. Admission is free.
Beer, wine, soft drinks, hot drinks and hot dogs will be on sale.
