Take One: Opera Australia: La Traviata @ Ritzy
What a way to spend a Wednesday afternoon – the opera at the cinema. Ritzy is showing a performance of La Traviata by Opera Australia today at 1pm. It’s a tragic tale of the conflict between love and reputation in 19th century France, and this version is performed on a floating stage.

Take Two: Burger and a beer at the Lido Cafe
We haven’t suggested this one for a while, but the weather feels kind of right for a burger and a beer today, especially overlooking the lovely Lido (even if it is too cold for the outside terrace). The Lido Cafe are offering a rare breed beef burger (gourmet, no less) and a Meantime beer or glass of House Wine for £10 every Wednesday. Go for it.
