Travel Brixton – a “pop-up travel agency” is offering holidays to just one place: Brixton.
The brainchild of the founders of Brixton Brewery, Travel Brixton is giving away 15 pairs of tickets for “summer day” breaks in Brixton on three dates next month: 2, 9 and 16 September.
All potential holidaymakers need to do is sign up at itsbetterinbrixton.co.uk.
Winners will get an expertly led tour of Brixton and dinner with Brixton Brewery beer at Fish, Wings & Tings in Brixton Village.
Three pairs will also get an extra prize in the form of an overnight stay in a local hotel of their choice rated 5* by Travel Brixton.
Travel Brixton has partnered with local businesses.
Leading the tours will be Brixton local Wesley Evans (The GreatWeekender) a professional guide who specialises in the area and has been guiding groups here since 2015.
Xochitl Benjamin, director of holidays at Travel Brixton and co-founder of Brixton Brewery, said: “We at Travel Brixton think there is no better place to go on holiday than SW9.
“Whether they’re after amazing food, incredible music, arts and culture orjust somewhere to kick back and enjoy a refreshing brew, we’re confident that holidaymakers will love it here.
“There’s also a real delight in being able to work in collaboration with other local Brixton businesses – we love nothing more than when the community comes together – and see this as a wonderful opportunity to show off everything that we love about our home to visitors.”
On show will be some of Brixton’s most famous street art and the childhood home of David Bowie. Holidaymakers will meet the founders of Brixton Street Gym and Book Stop Brixton and tour Brixton’s markets before a tasting at the Brixton Brewery taproom on Brixton Station Road followed by dinner at Fish, Wings & Tings to complete the experience.
