Brixton teenagers Youthsayers have used their phones during lockdown to record a version of Sam Cooke’s civil rights era anthem A Change Is Gonna Come.
Youthsayers’ tutor Idris Rahman said: “It’s such a pleasure to share this – positive musical vibrations from our talented, hardworking bunch of Brixton teenagers Youthsayers – recorded on their mobile phones during lockdown, with a message that could not be more relevant and uplifting for these times – A Change Is Gonna Come.”

All proceeds go towards continuing the Youthsayers project, which provides 9–20-year-olds in the Brixton area with weekly band rehearsals and performance opportunities.
