Poetic Unity, a Brixton based charity founded in 2015 by Ryan J. Matthews-Robinson, better known as Ragz-CV have been looking at how they can continue providing their services to the local community during lockdown.
Along with other services they have moved their weekly event The CommUnion online.
“We host ‘CommUnion’ a monthly event giving young people the space to talk about thoughts and feelings. We are not mental health professionals this is a group by the community for the community” explains Ragz-CV.
“We are concerned for the welfare of the community’s Mental Health in these tough times so it’s only right we bring ‘The CommUnion’ online every Sunday. It’s more important than ever that we come together and give people a space to talk about how they feel in a safe and friendly environment” says Ragz-CV.
They are offering 4 free 1-1 to sessions via Skype every Sunday.
If these allocations are not filled they will provide a group discussion on Mental Health via their instagram live.
If you would like a 1-1 session for this Sunday to talk about anything that’s on your mind in a safe and confidential environment please email: info@poeticunity.org.uk with the title ‘The CommUnion Online’
Please note the help provided is not by mental health professionals, its a non-judgmental and self-supporting environment for the community by the community.
