Pop Brixton will host an event with quizzes, competitions and prizes on Saturday 13 February for young people and/or their parents, families and carers who are interested in how to get involved in research, particularly around mental health and wellbeing.

The event is organised by the National Children and Young People’s Mental Health Advisory Group.

It says scientific research is needed to identify the best ways of helping young people with mental health problems and how to reduce the risk of them developing problems.

The event will provide the chance to: learn more about research through interactive talks and presentations, find out about how to get involved in research, gain first-hand experience of the research process from taking part in a mock trial and the event (between 12 and 4.30pm) is free to attend.
