Your guide to what’s happening in Brixton this week
Friday 25 to Sunday 27: Brixton Come Together Festival returns to Brixton for a weekend of music, film, activism, photography, literature and gastronomy. The free community event will be held at the Black Cultural Archives, the Ritzy Cinema, Brixton Village and Windrush Square. Visit the Brixton Come Together Facebook page for the full programme.
Saturday 26: After a series of sell out shows, Sunfall returns to Electric Brixton for one last party of the summer. Austrian duo Klangkarussell headline the end of season session.
Sunday 27: Clapham Youth Centre is celebrating 50 years of working with the youth and community of Brixton. Anyone who has been a member of the the youth club or been involved in any of the community activities that have taken place in the area is welcome to attend the centre to celebrate.
Tuesday 29: Head to Upstairs at the Ritzy for their film quiz. There’s no limits on team size and everyone is welcome. Doors 6 pm, quiz 7.30 pm, £5 per person.
Thursday October 1: The Chocolate Museum is holding a special event in collaboration with Divine Chocolate, to coincide with the World Cocoa and Chocolate Day and the Black History Month. The free evening of chocolate tastings, speciality food, exhibitions and talks will celebrate ethically produced cocoa and chocolate. The Chocolate Museum, 187 Ferndale Road, from 7 pm to 10 pm.
Friday October 2: Ray Mang headlines Dabble, a brand new night for Brixton in the basement of Veg Bar on Tulse Hill (2 mins walk from Hootananny’s and the Effra Social).
