The Columbo Group – owners of XOYO and The Old Queen’s Head – have announced they have bought the Electric Social and plan to open it its third Blues Kitchen outpost.
The London-based bar and restaurant group hopes to open the new venue on Acre Lane this autumn.
Last month Electric Social said it was closing after four years and held its final party on March 28.
The original Blues Kitchen opened in Camden in 2009 and its Shoreditch site opened in 2014.
As with the previous two, Brixton’s Blues Kitchen will offer Texan BBQ, live music seven nights a week and a huge selection of bourbon.
This latest acquisition brings the group’s number of restaurants, bars, clubs and live music venues – which also includes The Nest and The Cat and Mutton – in London to eight.
Columbo Group founder Steve Ball, said: “Brixton is currently one of the most exciting areas of London for restaurants, bars and clubs so we’re thrilled to be opening our third Blues Kitchen site here.
“The lively mix of late night music and authentic BBQ has been a great success in both Camden and Shoreditch and I look forward to bringing the party down south.”
