A new exhibition will be opening on Friday 28 November at 6pm at Brixton East, offering visitors a multi-sensory portrait of the atmospheric industrial wilds of Italian city, Ravenna. The exhibition remains open until 7pm on Sunday 30 November.

Photographer and documentary-maker, Adriano Zanni, was inspired by  the award winning film by Michelangelo Antonioni The Red Desert, which won the Golden Lion at the 25th Venice Film Festival in 1964. Through field recordings and electronic manipulation, Adriano created a very personal soundtrack for this side of the city he has grown up in which will be displayed alongside his photographs.

On the opening night guests the immersive experience will even stretch as far as enjoying some Italian food and wine at the exhibition.

Throughout the exhibition Adriano’s photography will be available to buy with all profits going to  the charity Beanstalk (http://www.beanstalkcharity.org.uk).

Red Desert Chronicles is free to attend for all at Brixton East, 100 Barrington Road.
