Lambeth council is considering a planning application for five new houses and three apartments on the site of the former job centre, in Josephine Avenue.
Officers have recommended approving the latest plans for the Hermes House site, on the condition of a satisfactory section 106 agreement to benefit the local community.
The application, by Giles Underhill of Landgate Homes, will be considered by Lambeth council planning committee on Tuesday (June 10). See the full council report here.
Last year an application for 43 new student flats on the plot was turned down for being “unneighbourly”. The building was formerly used as a job centre, but in recent year has been squatted by different groups of people.
Another batch of affordable million pound flats and houses for local workers on low wages.
I wonder if Lambeth will insist that the developer follows recommendations laid out in the Rush Common Conservation Area plan. I doubt it though.
