Godzilla-2014-Movie-HD-Wallpaper-for-Desktop-Tablet-or-IPhoneI’m not quite sure what to think of Frank, inspired by the real life performer Chris Sievey who gave up being the front man of The Freshies (whose hits included I’m In Love With The Girl On The Manchester Virgin Megastore Check-out Desk) to don a huge papier-mâché head and call himself Frank Sidebottom. Blue Ruin is a dark comedy that sees a beardy vagrant taking seizing the opportunity to avenge the murder of his parents when the man responsible is set free from prison. Now retired from his groundbreaking Studio Ghibli, The Wind Rises is Hiyao Miyazaki’s farewell feature, reflecting on the life of aviation engineer Jiro Hirikoshi.

Sports documentary Next Goal Wins poignantly follows American Samoa, known as one of the world’s worst football teams, as they attempt to become 2014 World Cup qualifiers with the help of a new coach. Bad Neighbours stars Hollywood’s number one comedy lump Seth Rogan and Rose Byrne as newlyweds whose suburban paradise is disrupted when a fraternity house moves in next door… with hilarious consequences.

Thursday sees one of this year’s most anticipated blockbusters hit the screen when Godzilla is finally unleashed. Have they got it right this time? I have to admit the trailers are making it look pretty tasty. Happy viewing.
