This photo captures the scene shortly after a car ploughed through a wall and into an exhibition space in Brixton.
Miraculously, nobody was badly hurt when a woman, thought to be in her eighties, drove through window and wall of Brixton East, Barrington Road, ending up at the other end of the building. It happened at about 7.30pm on Friday.
Two hours earlier the room had been packed with residents, artists and academics for the Brixton Exchange event, organised by the Anchor and Magnet arts project.
This photograph was taken by curator Barby Asante. The car, a grey Vauxhall travelled several yards inside the ground floor of the building, knocking over furniture and sending a pile of Brixton Bugle newspapers flying.
