A 17-year-old man died after being stabbed in Adelaide Close, Brixton, yesterday.
The victim, who has not been named, was fatally injured during a fight, near Somerleyton Road at about 5.50pm.
Police and paramedics attended the scene, but the man died while being taken to hospital by ambulance. Police have closed a stretch of the street and the area remains taped off as forensic officers comb the area for evidence.
One resident, writing on the Urban 75 forum, said: “The police are telling people who are going through the cordon to reach their homes that once they’re home to stay home, and taking names and addresses of everyone who is going in or out of the estate.”
There were reports of a serious sexual assault near the scene of the stabbing the previous day.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said no one has been arrested, and the family of the dead man have been informed.
