A Brixton dentist is behind bars after inventing patients to defraud the NHS of more that £100,000.
Young Jun Suh, who practiced at Camberwell Dental Surgery, in Coldharbour Lane, Loughborough Junction, was jailed for two years at Southwark Crown Court on Friday after admitting falsifying NHS patients and tricking others into costly private dental work.
Detectives found Suh, 41, had changed patient forms using correction fluid, on one occasion even changing the name Raptopoulous to Laptopooloo.
Striking him of its register permanently in November, the General Dental Council said: “Mr Suh placed his own interests above those of his patients and demonstrates a complete disregard for the authority of the regulatory body.”

Suh was arrested in 2007 when police seized 15,000 patient records from his Belgravia home and Loughborough Junction practice.
Mike, editor of Brixton Website Urban 75, was a patient at the practice. He wrote on his forum: “The surgery was a dump (appointments were sent on scraps of paper!) and the last time I went was when he tried to persuade me to have some expensive dental work.”
He added: “I wasn’t convinced so got another dentist.”
Suh was convicted of practicing dentistry without being registered last May.
Mick Hayes, fraud officer at the NHS, said Suh showed “no regard” for taxpayers’ money or his patients.
He added: “This should serve as a strong deterrent to anyone tempted to commit fraud against the NHS.”
