First Draft is a showcase of new short plays by Lambeth writers. In April Sixteenfeet launched the search for emerging writers in the borough and received a large number of entries from local playwrights.

On Friday and Saturday evening this weekend staged readings of the winning plays will be held at Brixton Library, giving them life off the page for the first time.

The winning scripts were selected by a panel of industry judges including Saffron Myers, the Literary Manager at Omnibus Clapham, theatre and radio play director Marina Caldarone, and actor and playwright Denton Chikura.

You can book your tickets online, by emailing info@sixteenfeet.co.uk or by calling Caroline Funnell on 07958 448690. Tickets will be available for collection from the library 30 minutes before the performances start.
