Brixton market’s Stuart Horwood gets on his bike for NSPCC

StuartHorwoodBrixton market trader Stuart Horwood is cycling 100 miles on 31 July for the NSPCC. He is taking part in the Prudential London to Surrey bike ride to achieve a personal goal and to raise money for the NSPCC because they help the most vulnerable members of society. If you want to support Stuart’s efforts, there’s a collecting tin on his watch stall or visit his fundraising page.

Stuart says: “I re-discovered the joy of cycling after being inspired by the 2012 Olympic Games and I’ve commuted daily since June 2013. To ride this classic cycle route has been my ambition for two years and I’m in regular training to make this a reality.

“I believe the NSPCC do wonder work for all children, especially children needing help in difficult and distressing situations. I hope you feel the same and will help me reach my goal. Your donation will make a difference to a child in need.”

Stuart’s off on a ‘training break’ to Tenerife where he plans to cycle 2000m up Mount Teide, but when he’s back you can stick your donations in the tin on the stall.

  1. What a brilliant idea ! Cycling is life, very healthy and brings energy. I work in an events promotion company in London and we have a lot of sports events, I think I will go to a cycle hiking on the weekend !
