The Windrush Playback Performance Project (WPPP) is looking for people to take part in three or four Windrush community engagement performance events on the autumn and winter of this year.
Rehearsals start of Tuesday 5 July at Brixton Road Youth Club – 143 145 Brixton Road, SW9 6LZ.
The six rehearsal sessions are from 4.30 to 8pm on Tuesdays 5 and 12 July, and 2, 9, 16, 23 August.
Particpants will learn techniques from Playback Theatre to perform interactive Windrush sketches and scenes in front of community audiences.
WPPP “will offer inter-generational exchanges and opportunities to make friends, learn performance skills and promote new community collaborations with the participants’ and the wider community,” says organiser Tony Cealey.
