Residents in Brixton and Lambeth are invited to take part in an official Remembrance Day service at Lambeth Town Hall.
The event will begin outside Brixton Library, Windrush Square at 9am on November 11 before moving inside the Town Hall.
Other acts of remembrance in the borough include:
• Albert Carr Gardens War Memorial at the corner of Streatham High Road and Streatham Common Northside from 10.30am
• Kennington Park War Memorial – A procession will leave Doddington Grove and Braganza Street, SE17 at 10.30am and march to Kennington Park War Memorial for an 11am service and wreath laying ceremony
• Vincennes War Memorial in Hamilton Road, West Norwood from 3pm
• Stockwell Clock Memorial, near Stockwell Tube Station from 11am
Mayor of Lambeth, cllr Clive Bennett, said: “As a London borough fielding yet again an impressive number of parades and remembrance services, Lambeth can be justly proud of its commitment to the fallen; men and women across all ethnicities and beliefs who gave their lives in protecting a nation and its people.
“I look forward to attending, together with the Mayoress and our Deputy Lieutenant, five locations as First Citizen and Mayor for Lambeth and its communities.”
