A heartbroken dog owner has appealed to Bugle readers to help her find her pooch, missing for almost a month.
Four-year-old Kaya, a Labrador and Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, was spooked by a firework during a walk through the skate park in Stockwell Road, Brixton, on September 3. She has not been seen since.
Owner Kate Allan says is “in pieces” without her dog, who came with her when she moved to Brixton from Italy in January this year.
She said: “I am feeling a bit better now but it is really hard to not have her here with us.
“It is hard because I don’t know where she is and if she is OK. In the last few days I have tried to be really positive and think someone found her and is taking care of her.”
Ms Allan was left so upset by the disappearance that her mother flew over from Italy to help with the search.
She added: “When it happened I called my Mum the next day in tears. After a few days she was here helping me putting posters up, asking people, going to Battersea dogs home and really supporting me. I was in pieces.”
Kaya has short black hair with a white chest. She was wearing a pink collar and is neutered and microchipped with the code 982009105574324.
The family is offering a £300 reward for help in finding Kaya.
