Tripod, the Brixton workspace inside Lambeth town hall, has hot desk spaces available for freelances and small businesses as well as a larger office space.

In the year it has been open, the space, designed by local creatives Eley Kishimoto

and Damien Bowles, has been home to video editors, animators, digital and experiential marketers, photographers, theatre professionals and software designers.

It has hosted community and business support events, including a tenant tea launch party and a Brexit readiness workshop, as well as Art Clubber and TechClub nights.

In September 2018 Tripod hosted a networking event for tech professionals in partnership with UKBlackTech. The event welcomed over 50 entrepreneurs from BAME backgrounds working within the tech industry, to share insights and experiences and to connect.

Tripod is operated by Meanwhile Space, a social enterprise that brings temporarily redundant space into use.

There are hot desk memberships available for local freelancers or small businesses interested in joining the Tripod community, or a larger office space suitable for a growing business. More information is available from tripod@meanwhilespace.com.
