AGT (All Growing Together), an IT support company based in Brixton, are hosting their third TechClub on Thursday 25 July. The event will take place at the Brixton Pound Café from 6:30pm to 9:30pm where people will learn techniques to protect themselves from cyber-attacks, writes Ethan Delcroix-Jones.
TechClub is a monthly three-hour event that covers a different tech-related topic each month. Whether it is a masterclass or a talk, it is always followed by a networking session, with AGT’s IT specialists offering a free check-up for participants’ laptop, tablet or desktop and a 20% discount on any repairs booked at the event.
July’s TechClub is meant to help participants understand the true impact of a cyber-attack, how to identify them and what actions to take to prevent attacks and future threats. They will be learning from AGT’s cyber security specialists.
AGT say they are committed to making TechClub accessible to everyone. They say that to represent the true cross-section of the community, every month they work with a local organisation to offer a number of free places. Their goal is to allow people from different backgrounds to meet and learn together.
Tickets are £20 and you can find out more here.
