Many top musicians, poets and DJs are signed up for an event to raise funds for and awareness of Brixton’s Mosaic Clubhouse.
Organised by Bryan Wilson – the spoken word artist going by the name Beady Man, who is a former Mosaic service user – the event at Club 414 on Saturday 18 August will feature Rev.B.Atwell and Larry Love from Alabama 3, spoken word artists Dennis (just Dennis) and Dan Hunt along with DJs Saint Patos and Smiggy Smith … and many others, including Mosaic Clubhouse members.
Louise Barron and Tony Pommell of Club 414 have generously handed over the club for eight hours for the event, which starts at 3pm.
The Mosaic Clubhouse on Effra Road supports Lambeth people who are living with a mental health condition. Its approach is built on the internationally recognised Clubhouse model that puts coproduction between staff and members at the centre of all activities.
The Clubhouse offers members and visitors a wide range of volunteering opportunities, access to education and employment, crisis support, and information and signposting to other local organisations.
