Take One: 1 @ Block 336
There’s a new gallery on the block – taking up residence in a warehouse space on Brixton Rd, Block 336 opened its inaugural exhibition ‘1‘ (they’re obviously into minimalism) last week. Artists exhibited include Lee Maelzer, Lucie Pardue and Xabier Basterra. This is an artist-run, not-for-profit gallery. It’s only open for half the week, from Wednesday – Saturday, or by appointment.

Take Two: This Music is my Life @ Windmill Brixton
Five bands play a mix of punk rock and acoustic punk tonight at Windmill Brixton, which this week made the top five in Time Out’s list of best music venues in London (alongside Brixton stalwart, the Academy). The biggest draw here for punk fans is the American musician P J Bond.
