Hootananny was a let down! There were too many people so no space to dance and the women working on the bar were asking people to buy them drinks… and giving to preference to those that did so buying another round later on in the night became impossible. I know it was New Year’s but really, since when is that a thing in London?! No countdown to midnight at about 12:03 the music stopped for about 3 secs and the band shouted ‘happy new year’ and that was it . Disappointing music… All in all, the event was nothing like the description: “Epic New Years Eve party to end the year in a fine style with massive indoor outdoor NYE festival organised by top live promoters Wormfood London, gypsy, electronics, reggae, dancehall, hiphop, jungle and breaks.” Shame as other Hootananny nights are good (like Moviemientos)…
Also the windmill pub on Brixton hill has a NYE party. It’s £6 on the door and thre will be tickets on the door. Check out there website. Have a good. New year xx
