The planning application for a 20-storery tower on Pope’s Road has been withdrawn by the applicant, the Amsterdam-registered company AG Hondo Popes Road BV.

The Mayor of London was due to consider the application on Friday.

A letter from the company’s planning consultancy DP9 to the Great London Authority said it hoped “soon to be in a position to table a revised approach” which “is able to deliver lasting benefits for Brixton’s businesses and residents”.
