Brixton Wholefoods today reached their second fundraising target of £30,000.
The Atlantic Road shop launched an appeal for £20,000 to help it to restock and to overcome the impact pf Covid and lockdowns.
It reached this figure in three days, attracting support from the local people including actors Mark Rylance and Adjoa Andoh. Other celebrities like Eddie Izzard backed the appeal on social media.
The total raised by the appeal this evening (3 November) stood at £30,005.
