Location: 22 Electric Avenue,  SW9 8JR

Artist: Planarama

This design takes inspiration from the triangular shapes of the Jamaican flag, with a wider colour palette used to reference other cultures. A sun graphic, linking to the street’s history of light, is created at various points where the yellow background is visible behind where the tips of each triangle meet. The design is inspired by the positive spirit of the area – through its diverse cultures, markets, community, music and history.

Planarama is a small design agency based in south London who specialize in window displays, pop-up events, street art, brand collaborations, styling and visual merchandising. They have operated in the Brixton and south London area for over 20 years, with their first office located in the Bon Marche building on Ferndale Road and reflect their intimate connection to Brixton within their designs.
