The Brixton branch of Wahaca – an early indicator of things to come in 2014 when it moved into the Atlantic Road building that had housed the much-loved and missed Bradys/Railway – is to close.
It is one of four branches of the chain to shut in London as well as six more around the country.
Wahaca hopes to agree a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) with its creditors to cancel its debts.
Thomasina Miers and co-founder Mark Selby announced the closures in an email to staff.
The first Wahaca opened in Covent Garden in 2007. The chain reached 27 restaurants.
