Appeal to fund pottery kits for Brixton kids

graphic of cartoon people and potteryMud Gang logoLambeth-based Mud Gang Pottery is well on its way to raise £1,500 so that 50 home pottery kits can be distributed to children in Brixton who receive free school meals.

It has already raised more than £1,000 of its £1,500 target to provide The Childhood Trust with the kits.

Each one contains instructions, a simple tool, 1 kilo of clay, two toothpicks and two colours of underglaze to decorate the pottery.

When pieces are finished they will be carefully returned to Mud Gang to be fired and glazed in transparent glaze – and treasured forever.

The pottery will also providing detailed tutorials via instagram – @mudgang_pottery.

Mud Gang is based at the Hart Club gallery in near Lambeth North Tube station.
