Calling all swimmers to Brockwell Lido for Macmillan’s big swim

Get off your towels and into the pool for Macmillan Cancer Support’s All Out Swim on Saturday 8 October. There’s still time to build your stamina for distances of 2km or 5km. Plus, for under 18s there is the option of 1.5km. And if 40 lengths of the Lido fills you with lonely dread, then get your friends together and form a relay teamGroup cheer reduced file

Remember it’s not an Olympic event and it’s not a race. You will be raising essential funds for one of the UK’s most hardworking and vital charities. Entry is just £25 (£17.50 for under 18’s) and there is no minimum sponsorship target. Entrants are simply encouraged to raise as much as they can. And bring family and friends to cheer you on.

This is the first time Brockwell Lido will be joining Macmillan’s All Out Swim. Three other pools will be participating: Pells Pool in Lewes, Letchworth Outdoor Pool and Sandford Parks Lido in Cheltenham. So let’s show them what South London can do.

Emma Lovesey, Challenge Events Programme Manager at Macmillan said “We’re absolutely delighted that the Brockwell Lido community will be helping us this year. In Greater London alone 86 people every single day are diagnosed with cancer. Macmillan’s aim is to ensure no one faces cancer alone.”
