Take One: Up the Junction @ Whirled Arts
Local author Stella Duffy is hosting a night of book readings, discussion and drinks at Whirled Arts in Loughborough Junction. Very much not a stuffy ‘literary salon’ but relaxed and fun. This month’s Up the Junction theme is, of course, ‘Thriller Night’. There will be readings from crime and thriller writers Alex Marwood (Wicked Girls), Julia Crouch (Every Vow You Break, Cuckoo), Martyn Waites/Tania Carver (Choked), and local writer Chris Roberts (aka OneEyeGrey), plus a short film called ‘Book of the Dead’.

Take Two: Bollywood Punch & Judy @ Brixton Library
This is one for families – at 10.30am, there will be a Punch and Judy show with a ‘dash of Bollywood panache’. Fun!
