Police officers from Greater Manchester are patrolling the streets of Brixton today.
The Brixton Blog saw this police van parked on Windrush Square this afternoon, and constables with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) emblazoned on their uniform.
The move is thought to be due to the Olympic Games, which begin in just a few days time.
The sight of police teams from outside London is reminiscent of the period shortly after the riots last August, when thousands of police from around the UK came to London to help keep order.

Im from Brixton. I dont want them on my streets. Keep order… what order?? what are we going to do!!!
Would have preferred the Heddlu like last year but always happy to welcome new visitors.
