A community arts collective has applied for an alcohol licence for its temporary premesis on the site of the former Angel pub, at 354 Coldharbour Lane, Brixton.
The Brick Box, a community interest company, want to serve drinks from 8am until 2am Monday to Sunday as well as provide a range of live entertainment.
The bid, which includes the provision of plays, films, live and recorded music, will be considered by Lambeth council’s Licensing Sub-Committee next Tuesday (August 7) at 7pm in Lambeth Town Hall.
It had attracted one objection, on the grounds of public nuisance, but this was withdrawn today (Monday).
Has this outrageous proposal been cleared with the Anarchist / Revolutionary / Irish Republican / Gay / Palestinian / Vegetarian / CND / White Dreadlocked / Free Tibet / Organic Muesli / Anti Gentrification / Rainbow Alliance at ‘urban75? Coz there’ll be trouble if not!!
