It’s one of the top events in the Brixton calendar – the Brixton Splash, with soundsystems, dancing, food stalls and live bands right in the centre of Brixton.
This year we’re hoping it will be bigger and better than ever, but Splash organisers need a bit of help before that can happen. They are looking for people to volunteer as stewards and are offering free training in return.
Volunteers are being offered a two-day stewarding course with a security and stewarding company, as well as courses in project management, team building and interview techniques with management consultancy firm Accenture.
The Splash takes place on 5 August this year.
Email volunteer@brixtonsplash.org to request an application form or visit www.brixtonsplash.org to download a copy. Pick up a hard copy from Blacker Dread Music Store, 406 Coldharbour Lane, SW9 8LF. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 29 June.
