Two of Brixton’s musical institutions – Pegasus Opera Company and Brixton Chamber Orchestra – have got together to present a pair of free open-air opera events.

The first will be in the courtyard of Lambeth town hall on Friday 16 August, from 7 to 9pm, the second in Myatts’ Fields Park on Sunday 18 August from 3 to 5pm.

They will be performing operatic excerpts from Mozart, Wagner, Verdi, Handel and more.

You can enjoy a drink at their bar at the town hall. For the Myatt’s Field performance bring a family, picnic and blanket – the performance is part of the community/ family fun day.

The event is funded by the Hagemann Rosenthal Associates. Sound equipment and management will be provided by Equip.
