Stars of stage, screen, sport, commerce and civil society will share secrets of their success in a new podcast series launched by former Lambeth equality commissioner Professor Miranda K. Brawn.
Produced and hosted by Prof Brawn, D.A.R.E. will encourage successful mindsets featuring guests including actress and producer Chizzy Akudolu; barrister and ITV The Chase’s Shaun Wallace, former England footballer Andrew Cole; the second female Lord Mayor of London Dame Fiona Woolf; Breast Cancer Now CEO Baroness Delyth Morgan; KPMG’s first Black board member John McCalla-Leacy; BBC Bargain Hunt’s Danny Sebastian; Reed Smith senior managing Partner Tamara Box; and shadow health secretary Wes Streeting – plus many more.
Professor Brawn has achieved great success in her portfolio career as a former investment banker, hedge fund sales trader, and senior lawyer to her roles today as a multi-sector boardroom advisor, leading global motivational speaker, world’s fastest success mindset coach, consultant, top global diversity, equity, inclusion, sustainability and governance thought leader.
She has also been recognised worldwide for her contributions by winning numerous awards over the years.
The first podcast is available today on all the usual podcasting platforms including YouTube, Apple, Spotify, Amazon music and Audible.
It was launched through Prof Brawn’s registered charity, The Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Foundation, which she founded eight years ago in January 2016.
Its mission is aims to eliminate the diversity, equity and inclusion gaps in the professional workplace through education and empowerment for future leaders in the UK and around the world.
It has helped thousands of diverse young people and organisations with a ripple effect of millions over the years.
Winners of scholarship from the foundation have gone on to have launch their own diversity platforms to continue the work of helping the next generation of diverse leaders to succeed.
In a trailer for the series, Prof Brawn discusses their battles, challenges and successes with podcast guests, including their career journey and what they dare the audience to achieve.
“The podcast is aimed at everyone from students in the classroom to professionals starting their careers, aiming for promotion up to C-suite and boardroom while covering all industries with the right mindset to succeed and achieve their goals,” said Prof Brawn.
Available monthly from today (12 January), the D.A.R.E. Podcast is designed to create a space where everyone who wants to achieve happiness and success in their lives – and those who wish to connect more with their mindset in the right way – can hear straight from the mouths of successful people living their own dreams while daring to trailblaze for others to follow.
The first podcast features Dame Fiona Woolf, who will be followed by Chizzy Akudolu at the end of January 2024. They take listeners on their personal journeys through what has dared them to influence their lives in a successful way to inspire, empower and motivate others to do the same.
