Organisers of Brixton’s Urban Art Fair have called on art lovers to lend support after a major sponsor dropped out of the event. The fair, which will be held on July 13 and 14 on Josephine Avenue, needs to find £3,000 ahead of the event, with kind-hearted residents being urged to help out to fund it.
The year’s 11th annual event will be introducing a new and exciting Street Art Area, organised by PositiveArts.co.uk. It will include live art work from visiting street artists and local school children.
It is also hoped to build and spray a life size London Tube Train to celebrate London Underground’s 150th anniversary, which would then be exhibited in Windrush Square.
