Brixton Underground Film Factory will set up base in Loughborough Junction at C.A.F.E at 209 Coldharbour Lane for a film evening to bring the LOVE back to the Junction – which is currently witnessing a bit of a renaissance.
In conjunction with Sunshine Arts, who kick-starts their summer programme, this is an evening for lovers of romance, urban poetry, art, film and, of course, food on Sunday April 28.
Venue owner Ray said: “The weather’s been so cold recently that everyone’s affected but we want to celebrate the warmth and vibrancy of south London’s urban arts scene. Regardless of your tastes, this is a must-do event for lyrical, soulful people.
“By combining delicious food with sensual art and a cool film ‘tis reason enough to come down and with live performances from MC Breis and OneNess – just back from UK tour- we will have a supremely special event.”
In these austere times, the event promoter has even spread the love to the ticket prices and is charging an affordable £7.00 or £10 on the door.
B.U.F.F. director, Rashid Nix, said: “It’s great value for money and couples on a tight budget-in these hard times- should still be able to enjoy life, love and a nice film.”
The event runs from 4pm till 9pm for food and poetry. And Love Jones, a 1997 American romantic drama, written and directed by Theodore Witcher, starts at 7 pm.
