John Davis (left) and Ryan Bricknell are in Brixton Marks and Spencers today (4 October) promoting a drive to raise funds for new London air ambulances.
The ambulances, an unfortunately common sight in the skies above London, save many lives each year.
But, as John and Ryan explained to Brixton shoppers, they are funded by an independent charity and not the NHS.
London’s Air Ambulance Charity raises the money to pay for and maintain the red helicopters and their vital journeys. It raised almost £14m in 2019/20.
Now it is gearing up to pay for new machines as its existing helicopters come to the end of their working lives.
