Do you want to enter our summer art show?
The Brixton Blog and Bugle are planning a summer exhibition to showcase the work of local artists.
It’s easy to enter. Just send photos of your work to arts@brixtonblog.com
You can submit up to two pieces of work and up to three photos of each one. To enter you must be at least 16 years of age.
There are two categories:
CATEGORY ONE artists who have completed formal training
CATEGORY TWO artists who have not been formally trained or are still at college
Winners and all shortlisted works will be featured on the Brixton Blog and in the Brixton Bugle.
We are also planning to exhibit them in a local venue over the summer. This will include the urban art fair in Josephine Avenue on 6/7 July.Because of space constraints, we can only consider works which are no more than one metre square and can be easily and safely hung on walls . We cannot consider free-standing sculptures, films or videos.
Please send photographs to arts@brixtonblog.com by FRIDAY 17 MAY
Please give your name, mobile number, address* and your chosen category. We will also need the dimensions of the work and a brief description of it. Please send all images in .jpg format; the longest side shoud be a minimum of 500 pixels and a maximum of 2,000. The selection committee will shortlist works and invite the selected artists to bring their work to a viewing. Winners will be announced in the June/July issue of the Bugle. The decisions of the selection committee will be final.
