Miranda Brawn, patron of the BCA and a Lambeth equality commissioner has announced that applications for this year’s diversity leadership scholarships are now open. This year there is an opportunity for an additional scholarship to be awarded to a young Lambeth future leader to help increase equality in the borough.
The Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Foundation (MBDL) scholarships provide support for the next generation of BAME (black and minority ethnic) future leaders. Support includes leadership lectures, mentoring programmes and access to top diverse talent.
The Foundation will award 4 scholarships in the following sectors:
Law, finance, multi-sector (covering science, technology, engineering and maths), politics and media.
Applicants must be between 14 and 21 years; be from an ethnic minority background, be in full-time education at school, college or university with a good academic record.
The deadline for applications is 29 June.
The scholarship package includes up to £1,000, tailored work experience and mentoring, and access to the Annual Lecture. The winners will be announced at the MBDL Annual Lecture on 21 October 2017.
