Christmas in Brixton kicks off this Friday 2 December at 6pm Tunstall Rd at the Xmas tree.
Lambeth’s mayor will welcome Levi Roots who will switch on the lights. Entertainment from local choirs and brass bands. The fun moves from Morley’s to Windrush Square where the Xmas market is open for business. Food, live music and arts and crafts.
On Saturday and Sunday 3/4 December the Brixton Christmas Market is open on Windrush Square from 10am – 4pm.
Rather than heading off to the West End, stay in Brixton and do your shopping. It is Small Business Saturday and you’d be supporting local traders and makers. The Market is organised by a partnership of Brixton BID, Street Concepts and Tree Shepherd.
Other special Brixton Christmas Fairs on the weekend are:
Sunshine Art Cafe at 209A Coldharbour Lane SW9 8RU, Saturday 3rd December 11-5pm
Station Rd Market on Station Rd Brixton SW9 8PD, Saturday 3rd December 10-6pm
Just wanted to add that on December 17th, at 5pm, there will be a Carol service for Brixton at St. John’s Church, Wiltshire Road, Angell Town bringing together Inner Voices Youth Choir with the choir of St. John’s School in Angell Town. https://twitter.com/Innervoices2011
