Brixton’s budding entrepreneurs have the opportunity to secure £500 to develop their business ideas with this year’s ‘Your Big Idea’ event to be held on Wednesday 24 February.
The event, now in its third year is open to Lambeth’s 17 to 27 year olds with a business idea they think could make them the next Alan Sugar.
On the day, attendees will have the opportunity to explore how to start up their own business, network with successful start-ups, receive advice from business mentors and pitch their ideas for a chance to win £500 funding to develop their product or service.
“Attending ‘Your Big Idea’ was a fantastic opportunity for my business, Kitchen Table Projects,” said Tara Sundramoorthi, a food entrepreneur and one of last year’s winners. “As well as winning seed funding, I was able to network with some fantastic individuals and get involved in start-up workshops that were really relevant to my business.”
The event is run by Capita in collaboration with Lambeth council and supported by the Prince’s Trust and Hatch-Incubator.
Applications are open now and the closing date for all entries is Wednesday 12th February.
