Brixton pastor Claudette Douglas will be among the speakers at a Black History Month event at The Crypt, St Peters Church in Liverpool Grove in Walworth SE17 2HH at 1.30pm on Saturday 3 October.

It will explore Black history, wellbeing and mental health through discussions, workshops, film and music.

The event will inform the writing of a mental health manifesto to change policies and practice relevant to the needs of Black and Minority Ethnic mental health service users. The event is open to everyone and is organised by Kindred Minds, a Southwark-based Black and Minority Ethnic mental health service user group and funded by Southwark Council and the National Survivor User Network for Mental Health.

A hot evening meal will be provided.
