Just a mile or so away from where a young Bradley Wiggins trained as a kid, Brixton will host its very own cycling fair next week.
The festival of all things bike-related will take place on Windrush Square on Friday September 12 from 2-9pm. It will include pedal-powered DJs, a Dr Bike tent offering free bike repair, lessons on how to fix your own ride and a bike try-out zone featuring so-called ‘e-bikes’.
The event is aimed at helping residents of all ages get onto their bikes and has been organised by the London Cycling Campaign, which pushes for safer cycling across London.
