A motorcyclist in his thirties was taken to Kings College Hospital’s major trauma centre this morning following a collision with a car on Stockwell Road.
The collision took place at about 7.20am near the junction with Sidney Road, with witnesses saying the motorbike was left “in pieces across the road.”
Road closures caused major delays and jams in Brixton and up Brixton Hill. Some northbound buses were terminating at Streatham Hill due to the disruption.
London Ambulance Service told the Blog it sent two ambulances, a duty officer and a single responder to the scene, and that the patient was taken to King’s College Hospital “as a priority.”
One Twitter user wrote at 7.50am: “Absolute vile crash outside my house. Too vile to post a pic. Positive vibes go out to the motorcyclist and driver…”
